I love nature and capturing moments in time with my camera. I have been addicted to taking pictures since I took my first photography class in high school using my favorite camera, the Pentex K1000.  I spent most of my childhood exploring among the trees and little creeks of Maryland which may explain why I am drawn to photographing nature. I have traveled in Canada, Mexico, Ireland and all over the United States and I am in awe of this beautiful world God has entrusted to us. I am a graduate of Shepherd University with a degree in Photography. After college I worked as a photography assistant and darkroom technician in Frederick, MD. I have freelanced for many years as I raised my boys who are now adults. I furthered my art education when I returned to school in 2000 to obtain a degree in Graphic Art. I exhibit my art at local art shows whenever I can. The portraits I take are in a natural environment which adds a special beauty to your portrait. I am a member of The Artists Angle, The Frederick Camera Clique, The Frederick Art Association and The Delaplaine Art Education Center. I have enjoyed a long career in the visual arts which include photographer, darkroom technician, art department lead, prepress artist and graphic artist. I have had my work published in various print media and have received awards for my work including Excellence for an Outstanding Performance in Graphic Design awarded by the Washington County Careers Connection Team.
